The intention for the July 3 & 4 launch weekend is to provide a ‘people-friendly’ street with tables and chairs situated on turf in the 600- 700 – 800 blocks (Dunsmuir to Smythe) with entertainment programming and participatory activities. While the City of Vancouver is programming activities these 2 days, they are more interested in creating an environment that invites public participation and activates the street. We will be playing from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday July 4th. This is a good paying gig for our society. Plus it will provide us with a good in to future City of Vancouver events.
