Bon Voyage Jean Béliveau!

With light snow falling Jean Béliveau was treated to an official send-off from the Mayor, The Carnival Band, and the Campaign for the Department of Peace.

Jean is headed east and will be home in Montréal in October.

Rally For Freedom

صوت

A small, but meaningful, band came out on short notice to lend support to the fight for freedom in Iran and other Middle Eastern countries, Egypt, Bahrain, Tunisia …
It’s a long list.

The organization that hired the band is called Neda. Neda means ‘voice’ in Farsi. It is also the name of a young women who was attacked and killed in Iran in 2009.

The story can be read here but be advised, the details are disturbing.

The Year Of The Pink Rabbit

It’s no easy feat coming up with a costume that stands out
in The Carnival Band …
… but Marc’s pink rabbit costume was a show stopper.
