Rediscover Granville

The city has undertaken a revamp of Granville Mall. The mall will now be a more pedestrian friendly zone on weekends. To promote the ‘new Granville’ astroturf was installed temporarily along with tables and chairs.

The Carnival Band was one of the acts hired to entertain the crowd on Sunday evening.

School’s Out!

On Tuesday, June 29 Thunderbird Community Centre and Thunderbird Elementary School celebrated, Canada Day, the installation of community street banners by Yoko, and the last day of school.

Any one of which would justify a celebration all on it’s own.

Being a weekday gig only the under-employed members of the band were able to turn out. And a fine job they didi too!

Commercial Drive Carfree Day 2010

If attendance is any indication, the Drive’s Carfree Day 2010 was an unqualified success.
Thousands of people showed up.
